A graduate of the University of North Carolina with a degree in English literature and a specialty in Southern literature, Ms. Pace worked as a VISTA volunteer, a waitress and bartender, and a hardware store clerk before entering Emory University School of Law. Ms. Pace tried private general practice for a couple of years before finding a true path as a juvenile defense attorney. In addition to managing a juvenile public defender office with seven attorneys and a support staff of five, Ms. Pace takes an active interest in law and policy affecting children and has recently worked with JustGeorgia on preparing the Model Juvenile Court Proceedings Code for presentation to the Georgia Legislature.
