Collaborative Initiatives
Strong partnerships and collaborations are important in any kind of advocacy and reform work. NJDC is proud to work with a large number of national, state, and local organizations on a variety of issues, that would be too numerous to list here, but which are integral to the success of our work. However, there are several official larger-scale collaborations to which NJDC is a part. Below is a list of some of these collaborative initiatives:
- MacArthur Foundation Resource Center Partnership
- Campaign Against Indiscriminate Juvenile Shackling
- Equity Project
- Smart on Juvenile Justice: Enhancing Youth Access to Justice Initiative
NJDC also maintains many close partnerships with other groups, projects, and networks dedicated to advancing juvenile defense education and policy, such as the MacArthur Cross-Action Network, the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI), the Juvenile Defense Special Initiative, the Juvenile Indigent Defense Action Network (JIDAN), and Juvenile Justice Geography, Policy, Practice & Statistics (JJGPS) project of the National Center for Juvenile Justice.
